Morgan L. Simmons

Pastor Morgan L. Simmons began serving Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at the end of October 2025, become Immanuel's 18th pastor in its history.​
Pastor Morgan is originally from Maryland where she was born and raised. She graduated from Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry and went on to earn a Master of Divinity in Justice from Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. During her time at seminary, she completed her internship at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, and also served as Minister of Faith Formation at University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis.
Pastor Morgan has long been active in the Lutheran Youth Organization, beginning in her high school years. That experience sparked her love of liturgy and deepened her sense of call, nurturing her passion for worship and her gratitude for the life of the church.

Pastor Morgan's mother, father and sister still reside in Maryland. Pastor Morgan is joined in Rhinelander with her three dogs, all rescue animals!
